Shakespeare FRP products can be manufactured in a variety of colors and surface textures.
The surface of the profile can be protected from UV degradation by several methods. The most economical method is to develop a resin surface coating on the profile. This system will eliminate or minimize exposure of the fiberglass (blooming) and will have moderate color retention.
A more protective finish can be achieved if the customer specifies a second method Shakespeare offers, which is a UV-stabilized coating. The third method we offer, coats the composite profile with a high-grade urethane coating. This coating can be applied with (3) different types of texture depending on the end product use and the desired finish.
